A day of gaming, an evening of theatre, a buffet of experimental new works

We're excited to welcome you to this celebration of new works in progress in theatre and gaming.

What is this?

This hybrid event takes place in two parts:

  • An afternoon (4-6pm CST) of testing out in-progress TTRPG games, including: STAR BAKER, a three-person card-driven single-session storytelling RPG based on the world's most beloved cooking competition.

  • An evening (7-9pm CST) reading of LOSSLESS COMPRESSION, a new play following three engineers who have lost their memories and must work together to figure what exactly happened to them and why. Featuring Emily Marso, Kelly Opalko, and Stephanie Shum.

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee! This event is about presenting drafts of work in progress and gathering feedback.  Space IS limited however, so please register only if you are committed to attending, and please let us know if your situation changes by emailing invishero@gmail.com

Who is behind this event?

This event and the materials being presented are the independent work of Chicago-based hockey player Fin Coe, and is not affiliated with any organization.

How do I get there?

The Bramble Arts Loft in Andersonville is located at 5545 N Clark St, Chicago IL 60640 via the 22, 50, or 84 bus, or the Red Line (Bryn Mawr).  Street parking is available.

Is this event accessible?

The evening reading takes place in the Lounge of the Bramble Arts Loft, which IS accessible by elevator from the street level.  The afternoon games testing takes place in a conference room upstairs that IS NOT accessible by elevator.

What safety protocols are in place?

Masks are required for all attendees.  By registering for any part of this event, you are consenting to wear a mask during your time in the space.  The performers of the evening reading will not be masked, and the precautions in place are to protect them and your fellow attendees.
